College Night Welcomes All South Bay Residents to El Camino College
"Open house" event invites prospective students, community members to tour the campus and learn about ECC
El Camino College will sponsor a College Night event to showcase the numerous academic opportunities, support services and educational resources available to students.
All prospective students, parents, adult learners, educators, and community members are invited to attend College Night anytime between 5:30 and 8 p.m. on Nov. 15. The open house-style event will feature a variety of workshops, a resource fair, and campus tours.
Participants will be able to learn about financial aid, scholarships, athletics, career and technical education programs, and transfer opportunities. Parents have a workshop designed just for them and future students can find assistance in completing their ECC application. President Dena P. Maloney will host "Popcorn with the President," a time to meet with El Camino College's sixth president and ask questions.
Information for adult learners will also be offered. Afternoon and evening classes can fit into the busy schedules of working adults who want to upgrade their skills or change their career path. Financial aid and other support services are available. ECC offers a great college experience for students of all ages and aspirations – it's not too late to earn a college degree or certificate!
At just $46 per unit, El Camino College also offers low fees and a convenient South Bay location. Students can apply now – the Winter 2018 term begins January 4 and the Spring 2018 semester begins February 10.
El Camino College is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance. Free parking for College Night will be available in Lot C (floors 1 and 2) and Lot F. Check in on the first floor of the Bookstore building.
