El Camino College Chorale, Concert Chorus, Mixed Chorus to Present "Holiday Choral Extravaganza III"

Ring in the holiday season with “Holiday Choral Extravaganza III,” set for 8 p.m. Dec. 2 in Marsee Auditorium.

Holiday favorites will be performed by members of the ECC Chorale, Concert Choir and Mixed Chorus – all directed by professor Joanna Medawar Nachef.

As the college’s premier choral group, the Chorale gives students the opportunity to sing all styles of choral literature. The group performs several concerts on campus and in the community, and participates in musical festivals and tours. Since 1997, the El Camino College Chorale has performed in San Francisco, San Jose, New York’s Carnegie Hall, San Diego and a Hawaii concert series on the island of Oahu, among other events.

The Concert Choir and Mixed Chorus will highlight holiday favorites as well as original arrangements of popular seasonal songs. These two groups are the college’s non-auditioned beginning ensembles, which primarily stage on-campus performances while helping students develop their vocal skills.

Tickets for the performance are $10 and may be purchased online at www.centerforthearts.org using the online ticketing system or by phone at 800-832-ARTS. The Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Campus parking is $3. Marsee Auditorium is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance.
