Registration Available Now for Winter Classes at El Camino College
Winter Term runs January 4 through February 6, 2018
Angelica Espinoza said that the key to her success in college is staying focused. The El Camino College psychology student plans to transfer to California State University, Long Beach in spring 2019 and completing a couple of classes during the ECC winter term will help make that goal a reality.
“I am taking winter classes to stay focused on my educational plans and boost up my GPA,” said Angelica, a Torrance High School grad who is enrolled in English and dance classes for the 2018 winter term at El Camino College. “Winter classes are helping me meet my goals because I can finish two classes in less than six weeks, which can get me closer to finishing all my classes needed to transfer.”
Registration is now open for the 2018 winter term, which runs Jan. 4 to Feb. 6. The schedule of classes, in both digital and searchable formats, is available online: http://www.elcamino.edu/schedule/.
“The best part about taking winter classes is having a short class time but experiencing the same content that you would in the fall or spring semesters,” Angelica added.
During winter 2018, students may take courses to get ahead in their studies, repeat an essential course, and satisfy prerequisites. A variety of both day and evening courses are available, from transferrable general education to basic skills courses. Online classes are also offered.
All students are encouraged to register as soon as possible for the best class selection. Students may register online at www.elcamino.edu by clicking on MyECC. The college will be closed for winter recess Dec. 22– Jan. 1, however, online registration is available at www.elcamino.edu 24 hours per day, even during the recess.
