CIS 19 Introduction to the Internet and Web Publishing*

This course covers terminology, technology, and software used by the Internet and Web Page Publishing. Different technologies will be compared and evaluated. Students will learn to set up Web pages, use E-mail, search for and evaluate information sources, and use the various conferencing software available on the Internet.

CIS 30 Introduction to E-Commerce**

This introductory course in e-commerce will acquaint the student with fundamentals of e-commerce. The primary focus will be the study of current e-commerce practices, business models, techniques and opportunities for conduction of business via the Internet. This course will help to prepare students for employment as web masters, web designers and e-commerce business managers.

CIS 133 Web Programming Concepts**

This course provides the fundamental concepts and structures of programming for the Web using JavaScript, XHTML and XML.  Topics included are problem-solving, program design and documentation, conditional structures, variables, objects, functions, events, arrays,
windows, frames, forms and databases as used in the development of web-based programming and using a web service.

CIS 134 Web Programming I**

This course compares the languages and tools used to develop applications for the Internet and World Wide Web. Students will develop limited web-based applications using dynamic mark-up languages, scripting languages, ActiveX and user-defined controls, and multimedia
technologies. Emphasis is placed on the web programming skills that will help prepare students for advanced programming courses and to enter the E-Commerce and Web Development industries. This course will use C#, ASP.NET, XML and XHTML.
