Associate in Science and Certificates of Achievement
The Management Department at El Camino College offers a wide range of courses aimed at transferring to a four-year college or university or for career advancement. The department is set up to teach students the skills they need to become successful managers.
The El Camino College management program offers courses in a variety of disciplines, including management, accounting, human relations, sales, communications, computers, law, and marketing.
Responsible for operations, maintenance, purchasing, planning, organizing, budgeting, and overseeing the work of employees, business managers are generally in charge of coordinating business activity in both private industry and public agencies.
To be successful in business management, students must learn important skills in problem-solving, leadership, communication, and decision making. Professionals in management careers often are in charge of many aspects of business, including: overseeing customer service and satisfaction, supervising staff, and making day-to-day decisions that direct and impact the future of the business.

The Business Management major for the Associate in Science Degree provides students with a strong foundation to pursue many careers in business.
