CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT

Office Applications Specialist

The courses in this curriculum emphasize skills essential for students to obtain their first job experiences in computer applications. Persons in these positions are required to have excellent keyboarding, proofreading, and editing skills and to utilize several computer applications. They produce a variety of documents, including letters, memoranda, reports, and tables, using word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database software. Surveys of available job descriptions show that persons trained with these basic skills are in great demand.

A Certificate of Achievement will be granted to students completing the courses listed below. A minimum of 11 units must be completed at El Camino College. All units must be completed within five years of the date of issue of the certificate. Students who have questions regarding this requirement should contact the Counseling Division or Evaluations Unit for a waiver petition.
