CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS (CAR) SCHOLARSHIP

The California Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to undergraduate students studying for a career in real estate. This scholarship is an academic-based scholarship; however, awards will first be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Awards by the C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation are up to:

$4,000--awarded to students of four-year colleges/universities
$2,000--awarded to students of two-year colleges

The C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation was established in 1948.  The C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to students enrolled at a California College or University for professions which are centered on, or support a career in real estate transactional activity such as:

Real Estate Brokerage
Real Estate Finance
Real Estate Management
Real Estate Development
Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Planning
Real Estate Law
Other fields of study the Trustees believe worthy of consideration

Next Application Deadline: May 1^st of each year.

The foundation seeks applications from professionally-motivated students who pride themselves on high educational standards. Students must have successfully completed at least 30 units (one year) of college-level course work and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.6.

Students interested in applying for a scholarship should:

1. Return the completed application, complete applications are accepted by May and September of each year.
2. Provide copy of official college transcripts (from all colleges/universities attended)
3. Show verification of current enrollment
4. Submit an essay of at least 300 words explaining why real estate has been chosen as a career goal.
