Associate in Arts Degree and Certificate Achievement

By completing the degree requirements, students gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in television and related mediums such as film, radio and new media. The curriculum prepares students for either entry-level employment in the communication and entertainment industries or transfer to a four-year degree program. Upon completion of the required courses, students will be able to perform various job functions associated with TV and media production; write, shoot, and edit short film/video projects; and demonstrate basic skills necessary for operating various film,video,and digital production equipment. Degree competencies will be assessed regularly by student performance producing individual and group films, videos, and scripts.
