Regarding the 3 Prerequisite Courses: 4 units of Anatomy, 4 units of Physiology and 3 units RTEC A Can I take these classes at other colleges? Which courses are acceptable at ECC?
At ECC - Anatomy 32 is the 4 unit required course (not Anatomy 30) . Physiology 31 (also requires a prerequisite of Chemistry (4, 20 or 21) RTEC A - 3 units at El Camino College
Anatomy and Physiology courses taken at other accredited colleges are acceptable if: 1) A combo course (A&P) equals 8 units. (4 units each). A 5 or 6 unit course does not meet the 8 unit requirement - this type of course *may (* upon review and evaluation by the Program Director) be used to satisfy the physiology requirement, but a 4 unit Anatomy class must be still completed to meet the requirements of the program- before starting the Rad Tech Program.. 2) Introductory to Radiologic Technology (RTEC A) - Other Radiologic Technology introductory courses taken at other colleges *may (* upon review and evaluation by the Program Director) be used toward obtaining an application for the program, but RTEC A must be completed at ECC before beginning the Radiologic Technology Program.
