A laboratory class emphasizing self-paced individual approaches to learning in college including diagnoses of difficulties through tests and observations. Offered as a support system utilizing multi-media workshops and learning contracts to students enrolled in content area courses.

Strategies for Success in Distance Education

The goal of this course is to prepare students for taking distance education classes. This course covers the basics of taking an interactive, asynchronous distance education course via the Internet or other computer and instructional television based systems. Use of email, online class interactions such as groups, World Wide Web access, equipment needs and differences between online and onsite courses will be covered.

This course provides students with individualized instruction related to their classroom assignments. Students will receive instruction in the content area of their assignments, on locating learning resources appropriate to their specific curricular needs, and on applying appropriate Academic Strategies to specific curricular areas.
