Education: BA (English: Language and Composition); MA (Linguistics with emphasis in TESL), California State University, Long Beach.

Experience: Taught English as a Second Language in Japan for one year. Taught English as a Second Language on a part-time basis at Cerritos College and East Los Angeles College. Has taught English as a Second Language at El Camino since 1999.

Interesting Facts: Rebecca likes to teach composition. She loves sports, especially basketball. Her hobbies are going to the beach, shopping, playing the piano, sewing, and oil painting. Having grown up in Torrance, Rebecca found it difficult to live in Northern Japan where it snowed all winter. She recalls moving all of her furniture into one room to stay warm. Driving in the snow was particularly challenging for her. Once, on an icy mountain road, her car slid down a mile before finally halting at the edge of a rice field. She loves Southern California and doesn't plan to travel any time soon.
