Anne C. Cummings has been a member of the Foreign Language Department at El Camino College since 1986. Before coming to El Camino College, she taught at USC, UCLA, West LA College, in France, and also in private industry.
She received her B.A. and M.A. in French from the University of Southern California, and holds a C. Phil. in Romance Linguistics and Literature from UCLA.
Professor Cummings currently teaches courses in French language and culture as well as Italian language. She developed and implemented the semester-long Study Abroad programs for El Camino College and served as director for several years. She has published articles on linguistics and computer use in language teaching, is co-author of first- year college French text, A l'aventure, and also is co-author of the first-year college French workbook, Entre Amis.
Recipient of an Outstanding Teacher Award from CLTA in 1997, Ms. Cummings has been a speaker at numerous conferences locally and nationally. She is a member of ACTFL, AATF, CCCFLC, CLTA, MSLASC, and SWCOLT. |
