Spanish 2 & 3 Consistency Projects

Spanish 2 and 3

Consistency Projects

Front Overview

The Spanish 2 & 3 Consistency Project was designed to increase student success through faculty collaboration in addressing the challenges of adhering to the official course outline of record (COR) and applying consistent standards of rigor and assessment in these two language levels.  Faculty worked together to design common assessment tools and grading criteria for SLO evaluation.  The first workshop included a review of Spanish 2 & 3 statistics and the establishment of academic and cultural content.  The second workshop focused on norming and included practicing using common assessment tools and rubrics.  Both Compton and adjunct faculty were included in all workshops.  The workshops addressed both levels 2 & 3, but the documents below have been divided by level.  Spanish 52A and 52B, Spanish for Native Speakers, will be the focus of future Consistency Projects.
