Engineering Technology Scholarships
Through generous support from SME-HAAS and Leonhard foundations, Scholarships are available to incoming and continuing Engineering Technology students. The criteria for these scholarships are as follows:
SME-HAAS Qualifying Criteria:
The SME-HAAS Scholarship is offered to new students who have completed a minimum of two Project lead the Way Engineering courses in high school AND to continuing students majoring in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Electronics and Computer Hardware Technology or Computer Aided Design and Drafting. Must be enrolled on a full time (12 unit) basis during the academic year. Letter of recommendation is required. Students are eligible for a Scholarship even if they have already applied for, or have been a recipient of, other SME Education Foundation scholarships. Individual scholarships up to $1,000.
LEONHARD Qualifying Criteria:
The Leonhard Family scholarship is offered to continuing students majoring in Machine Tool Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Engineering Technology, on a full or part-time basis. Qualifying students must have completed a minimum of 12 units “in major” subjects with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Students are eligible for a scholarship even if they have already applied for, or have been a recipient of other LEONHARD scholarships. Individual scholarships up to $1,500.
