New Student Orientation
The International Student Program is committed to your success here at ECC. For that, we have created a multi day orientation that will not only introduce you to the immigration rules and regulations that come with having an F-1 visa, but will also provide you with academic support to assist you with your class registration. This orientation is required of all new F-1 international students before beginning their first session or semester here at El Camino College.
SAVE THE DATE
Transfer Student Orientation: June 25th-June 26th, 2019

Arriving in California
Ground Transportation from the Airport
If upon arrival to the U.S., you need transportation from the airport you can catch an Uber or Lyft (average cost $17-$20; download the app for Uber or Lyft on your cell phone). They pick up on the DEPARTURE level of the Los Angeles Airport (LAX), so you will have to go upstairs after arriving and getting your baggage. For your safety, please ask the driver to confirm who they are there to pick up before you get into their car. You can also take a taxi or an airport shuttle which can be found outside the arrival level.
While El Camino College does not offer dormitories on campus, our office can help you with your search of surrounding apartments and local homestay agencies. Please see our housing brochure for recommendations, or contact us for more information.
