HORTICULTURE 41 General Horticulture
(Fall and Spring) 3 units: 3 hours lecture

Practical, general horticulture concepts are examined. Attention is focused on residential landscape management (gardening) which is applicable to commercial landscape maintenance. Some subjects covered include: vegetable and flower gardening, house-land culture, cut flower longevity, dried flowers, Bonsai, terrariums, fertilizers, soils, pest control, and turf grass.
