STEM Young Scholars Program Returns! Summer 2011
El Camino College will resume its Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Program for high school students over the summer. The STEM Young Scholars Program aims to stimulate interest in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) and will be open to any high school students interested in learning about careers in STEM related fields.
The free program will consist of guest speakers, college and career workshops, group activities, field trips to local industries and university visits. The program will be held in the MESA Center from July 6 to July 28 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with field trips on selected Fridays.
Students who finish the four-week program will be awarded a certificate of completion. Space is limited and participation in the program will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

STEM University Tours
El Camino College Conference for High School & Middle School Counselors, Faculty and Administrators, May 27, 2010
El Camino College Career & Technical Education (CTE) in collaboration with the Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Grant Project, Tech Prep, CTE SB70 Collaborative, will be sponsoring a Conference for High School & Middle School Counselors, Faculty and Administrators from our surrounding district. The purpose of this conference is to bring awareness of the CTE, STEM, Tech Prep, and CTE SB70 Collaborative programs and Student Services at El Camino College and Compton Center.
