TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM (TEP)
The Teacher Education Program at El Camino College is here to assist students in achieving their goals of becoming educators at all levels.
What We Offer
Specialized Academic Advisement and Counseling
The TEP counselor will provide students with information related to their career choice, course selection, and financial aid. Call 310-660-3593 ext. 3573 today to make an appointment!
Transfer Agreements with Universities
Our comprehensive transfer agreements allow students to complete most of their lower division coursework at El Camino College, including education courses which require fieldwork in schools.
Teaching Assistant Positions
We will assist students in locating paid or volunteer positions within our local school districts.
Guest Speakers
Every year, students will have the opportunity to hear guest speakers present on a variety of topics, including careers in education, financial aid, test preparation, interviewing/resume writing, and contemporary issues in education.
Access to Campus and Community Resources
Students will be kept aware of the services available, both on campus and in the community, to help them achieve their career goals.
Teacher Resource Room
Located in Art/Behavioral Science Building, Room 313, this room is equipped with numerous teaching resources, including children's books, CD's, computers, laminators, die cuts, and much more! Visit the TRR website for location and details.
Future Educator's Club
We are affiliated with the Future Educator's Club, which affords students the opportunity to network with working and prospective educators and to participate in a variety of social and charitable events.
