The purpose of
the China Research Project is to enrich and globalize the
curriculum at El Camino College by developing new China-focused
courses, modules and materials. To accomplish this goal,
in August 2007, a group of ECC faculty went on a two-week
research trip to China. Each grant-funded faculty participant
submitted an individual research plan with specific curricular
outcomes. Expected outcomes include:

developing a new course in his/her
discipline with focus on China; |

(b)
|
revising en existing course to include a module
on China and developing the module; |
|
(c)
|
developing a discipline-specific module on China
in a web-ready format which will be posted on the
ECC website and shared with other faculty; |
|
(d)
|
developing a set of materials to support a Chinese
focus in a specific course. |
