How do I clean my mouse?

Cleaning a mouse is relatively easy. Just remember not to use abrasive chemical detergents on the mouse. We recommend that you use Simple Green cleaner on all external computer surfaces to remove grime. When cleaning the mouse ball you may use warm water to clean it but be sure it is dry before re-assembling the mouse. Do NOT use liquid on the internal rollers or anywhere inside of the mouse.

To clean a mouse, perform the following steps:

1. Rotate the ball container counter-clockwise to open the mouse.

2. Gently pour the ball into your hand. Set the ball on the cleaning cloth. Mildly rub the ball with the cleaning cloth, rotating the ball to remove any grime or dirt marks.

3. Using your fingernail, scrape the rollers inside the mouse to remove any buildup. Gently rotate the rollers to assure that the buildup is free of the roller. Do NOT apply heavy force because this may bend the rollers or their axles.  Turn the mouse over and gently tap on the mouse case to empty any debris from the case.

4. Place the ball back into the mouse and screw the mouse ball cover back on.
