Idania Reyes
Idania has over 19 years of progressive experiences in overall leadership in planning, organizing and directing student support services; budget and revenue administration; outreach/recruitment services; and personnel administration.  Idania has worked at El Camino College for the past 11 years in various leadership roles.

Prior to Idania’s new role, she was the Student Equity Director responsible for implementing the El Camino College District Student Equity Plan, which is part of an ongoing institutional effort to examine the needs of an increasingly diverse student population and to improve proportional student academic outcomes.  Previous to working in higher education, Idania spent eight years working in public policy and fiscal management for federal/local governments in Washington, D.C. and the City of Alexandria, Virginia.

Idania has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Public Policy from USC and earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from George Mason University with an emphasis in Financial Management.
