Service Area Outcomes (SAOs)
Service Area Outcomes (SAOs) are explicit statements describing knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or attitudes that a student will be able to demonstrate at the end (or as a result) of his or her engagement in a particular lesson, course, program, or collegiate experience. SAOs and SLOs are assessed at the Course, Program, and Institutional levels.
SAO #1 Prospective Students
After attending an ECC information session, prospective students will be more knowledgeable regarding ECC programs, services, and the steps of enrollment.
SAO #2 Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors will gain a greater knowledge of academic and student support services offered at El Camino College by participation in staff meetings and in-service events.
SAO #3 Community Partners
The Office of Outreach & School Relations provides accurate and beneficial information about the college, its programs, and services, in a timely manner to community partners in a variety of methods including site visitations, offering of core services off-campus, campus visitations, mailings, and via the outreach listserv.
