ATHLETIC TRAINING STAFF

Kari Brody   MA ATC EMT	Senior Athletic Trainer, Certified
	Kari returned to El Camino College in 2006 after receiving her Master's degree from Adams State College in December 2005. She worked at El Camino from 2002 - 2004 as an Athletic Training Student and Fitness Center Supervisor. After earning her NATA certification in 2004, Kari worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for several NCAA Division II sports at Adams State College in Colorado. She also served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at St. Mary's College in Maryland before returning to El Camino.
Michael Miller ATC PTA EMT	Athletic Trainer, Certified
	Certified in 1995 after graduating from San Diego State University. Michael is a former Warrior athlete who returned to the college in 1999 as a staff member. He continues to use his skills as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and Emergency Medical Technician to enhance the safety and care of student-athletes at the college.
Steve Teubner ATC	Athletic Trainer, Certified
	Steve recently joined the athletic training staff this year after spending two years as the Head Athletic Trainer for Valencia High School in Placentia, California.  He earned his athletic training degree from California State University Fullerton in 2005.  Steve also served as an athletic training student at Santa Ana College and has worked with minor league soccer and hockey teams.

Dr. William Mealer

Dr. Mealer has served as the team physician for El Camino College for over 20 years. He maintains a strong private practice in the area. He has donated his time, expertise and support to the college through numerous scholarships and donations. Dr. Mealer lives in the South Bay and enjoys spending time with his wife and three beautiful daughters.

Ron Satow

Mr. Satow joined the medical team in 2003 and is currently in private practice in the Torrance area. A graduate of SCUN / UCLA’s physical therapy program, Ron has a long history of working with athletes. Before going into private practice Ron helped develop one of only seven accredited residency programs in the nation at HealthCare Partners.

Tim Ursich DC

With over 20 years of experience treating athletic and non-athletic injuries in the San Pedro/Rancho Palos Verdes area, Dr. Ursich has developed an excellent reputation for injury assessment and care. Dr. Hirano provides comprehensive patient care and specialty lens fitting. A therapeutics-certified optometrist, Dr. Hirano also serves as an adjunct Associate Professor at the Southern California College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Assoc. Dr. Hirano also served on the staff of the 1984 LA Olympic games.
