About the Progam
El Camino has always been at the forefront of California Community College badminton and when the sport was re-introduced for women in 2000 it quickly re-established itself as a southern California powerhouse and has either shared or won outright the last four conference championships. In 2003 ECC #1 Minako Akiyama (Japan) won the singles title at the State Championships and ECC players have won several conference singles and doubles championships.
The squad is coached by John Britton, a former international player for both the Scottish and US teams.
