Men’s Volleyball Sweeps LA Trade Tech
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Sophomore Michael Otazu counted five kills and eight assists in the Warriors’ (9-7, 6-3) sweep of LA Trade Tech (0-11, 0-9) on Friday evening. The Beavers had to count a forfeit after the 17-12 mark in the second set.
Set scores were 25-4, 25-12, 25-0.
Men’s volleyball returns home to host Long Beach on Wednesday, Apr. 6 at 6 p.m.

Men’s Volleyball Defeats LA Pierce, 3-1
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Sophomores Josh Riblett and Nehemiah Iosia combined for 27 of the team’s 49 kills in the Warriors’ (8-7, 5-3) 3-1 victory over LA Pierce (4-11, 1-5) on Wednesday evening.
Set scores were 23-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.
Freshman Chris Phanngam dug a match-high 17 balls, while sophomore Michael Otazu earned a double-double with 22 assists and 11 digs.
Men’s volleyball returns to action on Friday, Apr. 1 at LA Trade Tech at 6 p.m.

Warriors Fall at Long Beach City in Four
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Three Warriors tallied 12 kills each, but the men’s volleyball team (5-6, 2-2) fell in four at Long Beach City (10-2, 3-0) on Friday. Set scores were 25-21, 21-25, 19-25, 23-25.
Sophomores Nehemiah Iosia and Peter Nordel and freshman Pedro Campos all counted 12 kills, while Campos, Iosia, and sophomore Michael Otazu each tallied a double-double. Iosia added 13 digs, Campos earned 23 assists, and Otazu posted 30 assists and 12 digs.
Men’s volleyball returns home to host Santa Barbara City College on Wednesday, Mar. 16 at 6 p.m.

Warriors Sweep LA Trade Tech
TORRANCE, Calif. – Freshman outside hitter Jordan Banez posted a team-high eight kills with eight digs and three aces to lead the Warriors (5-5, 2-1) to a sweep of LA Trade Tech (0-5, 0-3) on Wednesday.
Set scores were 25-10, 25-21, 25-16.
Sophomore Nick Jimenez counted 19 assists, and freshman Josh Wood earned eight kills.
Men’s volleyball returns to the South Gym on Wednesday, Mar. 16, hosting Santa Barbara City College at 6 p.m.

Warriors Even Conference Record with Four-Set Win over LA Pierce
TORRANCE, Calif. – Freshman Chris Phanngam (Cajon HS) slammed three big final kills of his 13 to propel the men’s volleyball team (4-5, 1-1) to a four-set win over LA Pierce (2-7, 0-1) on Friday. Set scores were 25-20, 25-17, 25-27, 25-17.
Phanngam added seven digs to his team-high kills, while sophomore Nehemiah Iosia (Redondo Union HS) posted a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore setter Michael Otazu (Heritage Christian School) also notched a double-double with 17 assists and a match-high tying 13 digs. At the net, sophomore middle blocker Josh Riblett (South Torrance HS) posted a match-high four blocks.
The men’s volleyball team continues its home stand hosting LA Trade Tech on Wednesday, Mar. 9 at 6 p.m.

Men’s Volleyball Outlasted by Grossmont in Four
TORRANCE, Calif. – Sophomore outside hitter Nehemiah Iosia (Redondo Union HS) killed a match-high 17 balls, but the Warriors (2-4) were outlasted by Grossmont (2-1) in four sets on Wednesday. Set scores were 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-27.
Freshman outside hitter Chris Phanngam (Cajon HS) posted a nine kill and nine dig performance for the Warriors, adding a pair of aces. Freshman setter Pedro Campos (Bell HS) added 36 assists with nine digs and a pair of blocks.
Men’s volleyball heads back on the road at San Diego Miramar on Friday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.

Men’s Volleyball Earns Win at San Diego Mesa
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Sophomore Nehemia Iosia (Redondo Union HS) led the Warriors (2-3) to a victory in four sets on Friday at San Diego Mesa (1-3). Set scores were 17-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-17.
Iosia posted a 14-kill outing with a pair of aces, eight digs, and four blocks. Freshman Chris Phanngam (Cajon HS) added an eight kill, eight dig performance with a pair of aces and blocks.
The men’s volleyball team returns home to host Grossmont on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m.

Warriors Drop 3-1 Contest to San Diego City
TORRANCE, Calif. – Sophomore Josh Riblett (South Torrance HS) paced the Warrior offense with nine kills, but the men’s volleyball team (1-3) fell in four to San Diego City (4-0) on Wednesday.
Set scores were 25-20, 20-25, 17-25, 17-25.
Sophomore outside hitter Nehemiah Iosia (Redondo Union HS) added a solid all-around performance with eight kills, eight digs, and four blocks.
The Warriors continue competition on the road at San Diego Mesa on Friday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m.

Men's Volleyball Sinks Irvine Valley 3-1 in Season Opener
IRVINE, Calif. – Freshman Pedro Campos (Bell HS) led the Warriors offense with seven kills, while directing it with 17 assists, as El Camino College (1-0) defeated Irvine Valley (0-1), 3-1, on Friday afternoon.
Set scores were 28-26, 25-21, 21-25, 25-16.
Defensively, sophomore Andre Labayen (Bishop Montgomery HS) posted a 18-dig performance, adding a pair of service aces. And at the net, sophomore Nehemiah Iosia (Redondo Union HS) counted six blocks.
The Warriors remain on the road, taking on Orange Coast College on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m.
