AUTO COLLISION REPAIR / PAINTING
Associate in Science and Certificates of Achievement and Accomplishment
The Automotive Collision Repair / Painting program prepares
students for employment in the field and provides upgrade
opportunities for currently employed personnel. By completing the
degree or certificate requirements, the student will gain
proficiency in safety practices, vehicle construction, welding,
collision analysis, manual and mechanical metal finishing
techniques, structural repairs, vehicle alignment, surface
preparation, painting finishing, and the use of collision repair
equipment. Competencies will be assessed regularly in accordance
with Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and the Industry
Conference on Automotive Collision Repair (ICAR) standards.
Students completing the program may expect to enter the industry as
automotive collision repair technicians or automotive
painters.
Estimated Average Earnings: $13.00 - $22.33
per hour
