12 Angry Jurors

12 Angry Jurors by Sherman L. Sergel

Based on the teleplay “12 Angry Men” by Reginald Rose

Under special arrangement by Dramatic Publishing Co.

Scott Alan Smith, director

On a hot summer afternoon in a New York courthouse a jury must decide whether or not to reach a guilty verdict and sentence a 19 year old defendant to death. In this seminal American jury room classic, jurors deliberate a case and reveal their biases, weaknesses, and strengths, while highlighting the complex U.S. justice system.

Following the Sunday, November 5 matinee performance, there will be an Audience Talk Back with the Director and Cast, moderated by ECC Prof. Ray Lewis from the Administration of Justice department.
