  " I don't
want to
make pictures,
I want to
find things out."
       -Piet Mondrian,
Painter

Overall, the paintings function like a journal. I remember everything that was happening when I look at a painting from that periodit is all there, overtly or subliminally.

The paintings echo a search for meaning in my life and help me understand and convey (in visual language) what I may not be able to articulate otherwise.

Eastern art influenced me a great deal, from early childhood. Social and political commentary can sometimes be found in the work, but only to the extent that it has become internalized and autobiographical.
