| Artist Statement | |
| � Animals have always been important symbols in my work, but I have never thought of myself as an animal artist . Although I use animal forms to tell stories, it is the uniqueness and complexity of all nature that is my main source of imagery. The study of the natural world is a never-ending reservoir of inspiration. |

| Looking at nature reaffirms that nothing is stranger or more creative than the world around us. | � Within that reality, I am attracted to those illusions which magically spring up by combining different designs found in nature and science. In exploring these concepts that do not violate logic but which are deviations from what is accepted fact, a resonance is created between what we think we perceive and what we know. |
| � In creating this vibration l hope to get the viewer to question this dichotomy between perception and knowledge.. In that respect, up close my work may look like a complex puzzle, but move back a little and a dinosaur, a hydrogen atom, or an airplane may reveal itself. |
