KRASNOYARSK NATIONAL DANCE
COMPANY OF SIBERIA
Founded
in 1960, the company's original manner of performing Siberian dances,
as well as its dash and vigor, never leave spectators indifferent.
Vivid character portrayals, musical movements and fanciful patterns
captivate audiences. Through expert choreography, stories glorify
laborious feats and celebrate the wonderful nature of the land.

RHAPSODY IN TAPS

An energetic
ensemble in which dancers and jazz musicians marry intricate footwork
with the hypnotic sound of drums to create a blend of classical
ballet technique with the power of modern dance, spiced up with
a soupcon of street dance. This audacious ensemble also offers plenty
of good ol' fashioned soft-shoe. A diverse program that is clever,
energetic, hypnotic.

12 and under $12)

"THE NUTCRACKER"
San Pedro City Ballet
San Pedro
Ballet welcomes guest artists Irinia Ushakova (Sugar Plum
Fairy) and Alexei Moskalenko (Cavalier). At a Christmas party,
Clara is given a nutcracker which comes to life to lead an army
of toy soldiers in battle against invading mice. Victorious, it
then turns into a Prince who leads her into the Kingdom of Sweets.
Based on one of the most famous of the Tales by E.T.A. Hoffman,
The Nutcracker is a classic that comes alive to Tchaikovsky's magical
score.
Marsee Auditorium $26 / $23

TAYLOR II DANCE COMPANY
Eisenhower
was in the White House and the Dodgers were in Brooklyn when the legendary
Paul Taylor first thrilled audiences with his mastery. Established
in 1993, the Taylor II Dance Company was established to ensure that
audiences all over the world could continue to see his works. Watching
only six dancers perform Taylor classics is wonderfully intimate and
clearly reveals both structure and movement for an eye-opening appreciation
of the master's approach.
