YOU CANT TAKE IT WITH YOU

by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman
directed by Ron Scarlata

Our season kicks off with this 1937 Pulitzer Prize–winning play, which also won the 1939 Best Picture Oscar (starring Jimmy Stewart). Not quite the family next door, when the Sycamores arent designing daring new kinds of fireworks, theyre concocting strange varieties of homemade candy. The Kirbys, by contrast, are a well–connected Park Avenue family with a Wall Street career all laid out for their son, Tony. When Tony falls head–over–heels for the Sycamores daughter, Alice, the two worlds collide and the real fireworks begin! A wholesome and hilarious large–cast comedy suitable for the entire family. "An evening of tickling fun." ~ New York Times.
