A singular blend of ancient cultural tradition and youthful, multicolored American culture. Under the direction of Hong Wang, this superb ensemble of master musicians captures the sonic landscape of China from Canton to Mongolia, the Yellow River to Turkistan.

This sextet from Brazil revives the vibrant oral tradition of medieval and Renaissance music that celebrates daily life. They liken their composing and arranging to the cooking of their great-grandmothers - music created collectively with pleasure and patience.
