PHILADANCO

One of America's foremost modern dance ensembles focuses on how cultural traditions impact the hearts and souls of women in Bebe Miller's My Science and Jawole Willa Jo Zollar's Hand Sing Song. More selections from the company's trademark adventurous repertory complete the program. Triumphant in the U.S. and abroad, Philadanco is "a miracle of skill and energy...It can represent the possibilities of the human spirit through dance." Dance Magazine.

Marsee Auditorium $26 / $23 (Children 12 and under $12)

Philadanco is funded in part by the National Dance Project of the New England Foundation for the Arts, with lead funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Additional funding provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Philip Morris Companies Inc., Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and The British Council.

DIAVOLO DANCE THEATRE
Jacques Heim and Company

Leaping, flying and twirling become metaphors for the absurdities of life and maintaining one's humanity in a technological world as Jacques Heim's internationally acclaimed company of dancers, gymnasts and actors pursues its singular vision. Diavolo's high-risk movement vocabulary creates an almost cinematic experience of powerful images.
