ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
Completing the application for the Language Academy is easy if you follow the checklist provided for you below. After you have completed the application (and attached the other documents) send everything to El Camino Language Academy Office - we can accept applications by e-mail or fax; however, at this time we do not have an on-line application. Once you are approved for the student visa then you are required to attend the orientation day so that you can be placed in the proper level and receive all of the information you will need to make your stay at ECC a pleasant one. The application process for ECLA is easy:
1. Complete and sign the application. - CLICK HERE to download.
2. Attach one passport size photo.
3. Include a copy of the inside of your passport.
4. Include the US$75.00 application fee (in cash or a money order).
5. Attach an original bank letter or financial statement showing at least $10,000 in an account.
6. If you plan to transfer to El Camino College (or another college) please bring your high school graduation certificate and your college transcripts.

Application procedure . . .We review the documents and then will send you the I-20 form and other documents by Federal Express. After you receive the packet from us, you will pay the SEVIS fee (www.fmjfee.com) and then make an appointment at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for your interview. Please read Tips on Visa Application before you go to your interview. When you pass the interview, they will give you the F-1 student visa to study at El Camino Language Academy.

Please read the acceptance letter we sent with your I-20. We also include a map of the campus and our office location, a "tip" sheet to help you with the interview, home stay and housing information, and a brochure that explains our program. Do you have questions? E-mail us - we can help you!
After you arrive here, you will complete the following important steps for entrance into ECLA:
ORIENTATION:
Students will be given three placement exams:
A computer-based reading (taken 1-3 days before the Orientation day) at El Camino's testing center
1. Oral interview (taken on the Orientation day)
2. Written exam (taken on the Orientation day)
All Students must complete these 3 assessments to be admitted to ECLA. The exam results are carefully considered when deciding which level the students will be placed:
College Preparation - Level 1 / College Preparation - Level 2 / College Preparation Level 3
During orientation students will be briefed on the policy statement, immigration regulations, health insurance, parking and other information they will need to know while on the campus of El Camino College.
At Orientation a light breakfast and lunch are served - there will be a campus tour after lunch.
