Participant Lists
Participant lists are the name given to a list that matches each clicker's label (sticker number) to the unique serial number on the back of the clicker (directly beneath the bar code, also encoded by the bar code lines).
These lists will only change if a clicker in the set is replaced by another clicker.
If you need to change the serial number for a clicker in one of these participant lists, please email me so I can update the file and this web page with the new serial number.
There are three ways to get the participant list.
- Create your own from the spreadsheet linked in the next paragraph
- Extract the participant list file from the zip file below (see below for directions)
- Create your own file from scratch inside TurningPoint.
Excel file
Click the appropriate location (Torrance , Compton) for an Excel file that lists all serial numbers and all sticker numbers for all sets of Torrance and Compton clickers. This is a workbook. In the Torrance file only, the first worksheet lists the set number, the department/division where the clickers are located, the division of the department, the types of clickers in the set, and any important notes about the clickers. IMPORTANT NOTE: The actual list of clicker labels (sticker number) and serial numbers are in separate worksheets. Click on the appropriate tab at the bottom to move to that worksheet. For example, if you are looking for BSS set 03, click on the "BSS 03" tab at the bottom, indicated below in a screenshot from the "List sets & owners" worksheet. Or use the triangle arrows (shown below) to scroll to the appropriate worksheet tab. (Sets 5-35 are in tabs to the right of BSS 04, and you will need to use the triangle scroll arrows to scroll to the right.)
Excel file (Torrance , Compton) listing all participant lists
In addition to needing the data in the Excel spreadsheet, you will also need to create a "Participant list" file on your computer that lists each "Device number" and its corresponding label (sticker number). I have created these files and included them below, for your convenience. Click on the link to begin downloading the participant list file.
Zip file
IMPORTANT DIRECTION: You will need to open the zip file and save the participant list file(s) you want into your computer's "Participants" folder in the "TurningPoint" (or perhaps "TurningPoint Anywhere") folder that was created in the "My Documents" after you installed the TurningPoint software.
Zip file (Torrance , Compton) - contains a folder with participant lists for all campuswide clicker sets and (for Torrance only) the staff development XR clicker set.
