Extra Credit Opportunity

Presentation for Los Angeles Geographical Society

“ Deserts and Desert Environments: The Role of the Wind”

To earn up to 5 extra credit points, attend the 1-hour lecture presentation given  at Los Angeles City College .  At the end of the program, sign your name on the sheet at the front of the hall, then write at least half a page about what you learned and found most interesting.  Short write-ups will only earn 3 or 4 points.  Turn that in during class the following week.

Advice:

v    Be sure to give yourself enough time to get there by 8 pm .  It might take a full hour to drive there from El Camino and traffic is unpredictable.  If you arrive late you might have a hard time finding a seat inside the auditorium.

v     Admission is free and open to all.  Free refreshments at the end of the show.

v     It’s possible to take the Blue Line and Red Line to reach LACC.  Get off the Red Line at the Vermont/Santa Monica station, and walk about 5 minutes downhill on Vermont to LACC.
