On Saturday, March 19, 2005, the Physical Geography Lab class at El Camino College had a morning field trip to Monrovia Canyon Park, about an hour from campus.  The day was cool and a bit drizzly at the start, and the heavy winter rains had made the canyon lush and the waterfall full.  It was a beautiful walk through the riparian environment of oak trees, white alder, and shrubs of Southern California's native ecosystem.
