Course Description:

This course introduces students to the importance of a spatial perspective in the social sciences. It is an introduction to global cultural geography: maps and map reading, economy, nature and the environment, religion, food production, urbanization, and the broad history of human cultures; we will focus on the increasing influence of technology and the process of globalization.
