Meet Your Instructor

Melissa Som de Cerff is a Southern California native.  After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of San Francisco she returned to Los Angeles.  With automotive experience in the family she joined Hyundai Motor America based in Fountain Valley, CA.  She worked in the Marketing and Corporate Strategy Departments, and for the Western Region.  For a dozen years she enjoyed this highly competitive industry that never becomes stagnate and Melissa still follows all the players in the auto industry.  

While working full time Ms. Som de Cerff earned her MBA from the University of California, Irvine.  Soon after she pursued her desire to teach in the business management and marketing disciplines at the college level.  She has taught Business Communications, Business Management, Human Relations, Human Resources, Principles of Marketing, Introduction to Business, Consumer Behavior, Retailing Management and Personal Finance.

Ms. Som de Cerff began teaching business management and marketing courses online so that students who keep a busy schedule (like she does) have access to achieve their educational goals.  She may be found in the classroom as well.
