Fall '08: MW 12-1:25pm, ArtB 322 (2020)
Course Description: Physical/Biological anthropology is a subdiscipline of anthropology that explores the evolution and biological diversity of the human species, as well as our closest living relatives, the non-human primates. Topics include: genetics, evolution, biology and behavior of non-human primates, human variation, forensic anthropology and fossil evidence for human evolution (CSU, UC, Degree credit).
The Honors Physical Anthropology course covers science topics in greater depth than a “regular” Anth 1 course, to encourage a higher level of critical thinking and problem solving skills. Honors courses include more reading and writing assignments and activities to intellectually stimulate students, promote independent thought and enhance interpersonal communication skills.
