| What People Are Saying About Oceanography 10 | |
| Traditional Class | Online Class |
| Students in the online oceanography class should get started on the course as soon as possible once the semester has begun. Students who do not complete the week 1 tasks by the end of the first week (Sunday 2/19) will be dropped from the class for non-participation (as a "no show"), even if they were given an add code earlier in the week. Log into Etudes using the link and instructions on the left, and review the syllabus and course outline. |
| On the first day of the semester (Monday, 2/13) after 6 a.m., students who wish to add the online oceanography class should send me an email with the following information in the MESSAGE portion of the email : their full formal name (first and last), their preferred email address, and a statement that they wish to add the online oceanography class, section #4850 (otherwise I will send you an email back asking you which oceanography class you wish to add; I teach more than one). All the students on the waitlist will be added if they contact me on Monday as directed. Remaining spots will be given out by lottery based on the email requests that I receive on Monday. (If there are still extra spots after Monday, I will continue adding students until the Friday of week 1.) |
| On Friday, 2/17, your instructor will be in Natural Sciences 218 from 8 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. Students are encouraged to come to class to get assistance in completing the week 1 tasks, and to work on the Density Lab (1B): print the lab, and bring it to class. |
