Course Policies:

Chemistry 21A is the first semester of a two-semester sequence designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to satisfy the requirements for several allied health related majors, especially the pre-nursing major.  This course presents the fundamental principles of inorganic chemistry and begins the study of organic chemistry.

This course fulfills the chemistry prerequisite for Biology 1B, Microbiology 33, and Physiology 31, and provides the foundation necessary for success in Chemistry 21B, the second course in this sequence.

Students who successfully complete this course need good study skills and need to be motivated to do the homework and study the material.  A minimum of 8 hours of study time is per week is necessary to succeed.

Students are expected to attend every lecture and every lab session.  With few exceptions, missed labs can not be made up.  Students need to be respectful of other students at all times.

Wikipedia
While some question the authority of Wikipedia, I find it very useful for finding information about chemicals, including structure, physical properties, etc.
