Auditions for the 2004-2005 South Bay Youth Orchestra

The South Bay Youth Orchestra (SBYO) is open to all middle, junior and senior high school string, woodwind, brass, and percussion players. College credit is available for students - and there is no tuition for any student (you must be a resident of California for at least one year).

Auditions, which are held once a year, will take place on Wednesday, September 8th or Thursday, September 9th, from 6:00 to 9:30 PM. You must have an appointment to audition!

New members can call and make an appointment beginning August 2nd at (310) 660-3717, ext. 2. No walk-in auditions can be accepted. Please be patient... one of our staff members will call you back to schedule an audition appointment. Be sure to leave your message on Extension 2.

Our first rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, September 15th at 7:00 PM. Rehearsals are every Wednesday night in Marsee Auditorium. Free Parking Passes will be available from the SBYO staff for parents and students.

Our 2004 Fall Classics Concert will take place on Saturday, December 11th, at 7 PM in Marsee Auditorium. Tickets are $6.00 with all proceeds going to the SBYO Scholarship Fund.

Our 18th Annual South Bay Family Concert is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th, 2005, at 7:00 PM. This will be the 10th Anniversary of the SBYO and we hope to have some extra-special guest performances for this occasion.
