ARE YOU PREPARED FOR AN ONLINE COURSE?
El Camino College offers the following to assist you with successfully completing a distance education course:

1.  Check your readiness for taking an online course at our Online Student Readiness Assessment.
2.  For technical assistance and orientation to the course management system, come to our on-campus Distance Education Student Welcome Hour held at the beginning of each semester or complete the web-based orientation for new distance education students.
3.  You will need basic computer and Internet skills to complete most online courses. Learn the basics of (Word) word processing, (Excel) spreadsheets, (Access) databases and (PowerPoint) presentations in CIS 13, Introduction to Computer Information Systems or Academic Strategies 60.
