  • Intelecom: A video data base subscription paid by El Camino College to support your online lectures and content.

  •  Open Educational Resources (OER).The OER Initiative at El Camino College is an effort to increase awareness and adoption of OER materials in alignment with CA AB 798. Mary McMillan, one of ECC's own Schauerman Librarians, collaborated on developing ECC's OER Guide for faculty wishing to implement OERs in their courses. This guide is used here under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. CCCOER is a growing consortium of community and technical colleges committed to expanding access to education and increasing student success through adoption of open educational policy, practices, and resources.

    Note: Don't confuse OER with OEI (Online Educational Initiative). Both are California Community College-driven initiatives intended to make college more accessible.

    offers thousands of high-quality online streaming educational films and videos on a wide variety of subjects from top producers including National Geographic, PBS, Films for Humanities, and many more. Users can register their own account to save film clips and playlists.
  • Turnitin

    An anti-plagiarism software that helps instructors reduce plagiarism in course papers submitted by students. Turnitin ensures originality of student papers.  **There is no need to set up an account.** Turnitin is now accessible through your El Camino Canvas account. (If you are a faculy member, a Canvas account has been auto-generated for you. If you are a staff member, manager, or administrator who would like a Canvas account, please contact Gema Perez in Distance Ed.) Proctorio
  • Proctorio Proctorio instructor guide Proctorio intergrate directly into the quiz settings page within Canvas and works wtih any new exam, existing exams, or course shells. Proctorio can be enabled by simply checking the "Enable Proctorio" checkbox on the quiz settings page.

  • 3C Media Solutions

    The 3C Media LTI was created to provide an instructor the ability to access their 3C Media Solutions’ media library directly from within Canvas, and insert that media into their course/s. It’s worth noting that the media in an instructors account can be accessed via two ways: 1) from within Canvas using the 3C Media LTI, or 2) from the 3C Media Solutions website. The media presented will be the same regardless of which way it is accessed.
  • CCC Confer

    Instructors are required to have a ConferZoom account before using the ConferZoom in Canvas. Sign up for an account at http://conferzoom.org/ Links to an external site. , then respond to the activation email to complete the process.
  • @One Training

    @ONE--the Online Network of Educators-- a collaborative, system-wide network of California Community College faculty, staff, and administrators, is coordinated by the professional development team of the CCC California Virtual Campus-Online Education Initiative (CVC-OEI). @ONE provides training and professional development to support the effective use of digital tools and platforms to make California Community Colleges a nationally recognized leader in online teaching and learning. Funding from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office ensures that @ONE’s offerings are provided for free or a very low cost.

    The Distance Education Captioning and Transcription grant enables the California Community Colleges to enhance access and inspire learning for students utilizing distance education. The funding provided by this great resource supports captioning and transcription for online courses, hybrid courses, telecourses and even live classes that utilize web-based content delivery.
