The Occupational Outlook Handbook web site,  produced by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, is the premier source for career information.   Profiles of hundreds of jobs are offered, which include descriptions of the nature of the work, the work environment, education requirements, job outlook, and pay.  (Note: The Library owns the print version of the Handbook only through the 2012-2013 edition.)

The Testing & Education Reference Center with Career Module offers many test preparation materials, (including standard tests such as the GED, TOEFL, GRE, LSAT, plus civil service, nursing and military exams), career assessment/resume building/interviewing tools, current information on financial aid, U.S./Canadian colleges and universities.

Vocational Studies Premier is specifically designed to support vocational research in two-year colleges. It offers full-text articles on a wide-range of  fields including computer and data processing, cosmetology, fashion design, graphic arts, health information technology, law enforcement and criminal justice, paralegal studies, veterinary assisting, alcohol and drug abuse counseling, biotechnology, and electrical technology.
