Alt-HealthWatch focuses on articles from journals and reports on alternative, holistic approaches to health care and wellness.

American History and Life with Full Text covers the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present.

ARTstor Digital Library offers over a million high-resolution images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences, along with tools to support their use for teaching and research.

Auto Repair Reference Center provides information on most major vehicle manufacturers and thousands of domestic and imported vehicles dating back to 1945.

Book Index with Reviews (BIR) offers searchable, complete reviews on over 5 million book titles.

Books in Print is useful for determining what books are in print and what titles are scheduled for publication in the next six months.

Britannica Academic combines the complete Encyclopaedia Britannica, full-text articles from various periodicals, and select web sites.

Business Source Premier provides full-text journal articles in all areas of business, plus regional business publications, market research reports, industry reports, and company profiles.

Chronicle of Higher Education is the premier source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators. It is published every weekday, and its web site,, features the complete contents of the latest issue; daily news and advice columns; current job listings; discussion forums; and career-building tools. Also, searchable access is provided to every to every daily article published since May 1998 and to every news article/essay published since 1989, plus the Chronicle Review and special reports.

CINAHL Complete the most comprehensive version available of the Cumulated Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, the definitive research tool of nursing and health professionals.

Consumer Health Complete presents consumer information on a wide variety of health and wellness-related topics.

CountryWatch provides background information/current profiles for every country in the world, including political and economic news.

The CQ Researcher examines a controversial issue every week, offering background information, pro and con arguments, and references for further study.

Credo Reference (wih Topic Power Search) offers hundreds of full-text online reference books covering major subject areas. It also includes a "power search" feature which allows searching across multiple ECC databases for information on particular topics.

Current Biography Illustrated presents accurate, up-to-date biographical articles/obituaries and images of famous people for which the printed monthly magazine, Current Biography, is well-known, but in an easier-to-use searchable format.

(EBSCOhost) Academic Search Premier emphasizes providing thousands of full-text articles from peer-reviewed/scholarly journals.

(EBSCOhost) ERIC (Education Resource Information Center) provides access to education journals and other related resources, includes more than 300,000 full-text documents.

(EBSCOhost) MasterFILE Premier offers thousands of general magazine articles and some scholarly journal articles, many in full-text.

Ethnic NewsWatch features primarily full-text articles from ethnic and minority magazines, journals, and newspapers.

Films on Demand (New) offers thousands of online streaming films and videos on subjects in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.

Full-Text Periodical Title Locator is useful resource for finding a specific magazine, journal, or newspaper title. The Locator will indicate if such a title is available in full-text from the ECC Library, whether in print, electronic, or microfilm format.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia offers thousands of encyclopedic entries covering various subjects, including some images.

Gale Literary Databases -- Now Incorporated into Literature Resource Center.

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a platform hosting the library's Gale multidisciplinary reference ebooks including encyclopedias and other topical sources.

GreenFILE focuses on government documents, scholarly and general interest articles dealing with the environment.

Health Source: Consumer Edition offers consumer information on many health topics in the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine, and general health fields.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides over 500 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines, with an emphasis on nursing, plus abstracts and indexing for many more journals.

Issues and Controversies features reports on controversial issues, combining "objective analysis [and] clear explanations of opposing points of students and other users can quickly grasp the essentials of even the most complex topics."

JSTOR Arts and Sciences offers full-text back issues of scholarly journals primarily in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and to a lesser extent in the ecology, mathematics, and statistics fields. Typically there is a time lag of 3 to 5 years between the most current issue published and when that content is available in JSTOR. 

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts indexes and summarizes periodical articles, books, and research reports on subjects such as librarianship, online information retrieval, and information management. Some full-text articles are also provided.

Literature Criticism Online: Contemporary Literary Criticism, Poetry Criticism and Short Story Criticism provides online searchable versions of the standard reference books, Contemporary Literary CriticismPoetry Criticism and Short Story Criticism which the Library also owns in print. Approximately 95% of the content in print is provided in online format. Contemporary Literary Criticism offers reviews and essays on writers living or dead after 1959, their works, and related topics. Poetry Criticism provides literary analysis and commentary on poets and poems of all eras. Short Story Criticism provides analysis and commentary on major authors of short fiction and their works. 

Literature Resource Center is a comprehensive source of literature information, including literary criticism, biographical profiles (U.S. and international authors), book reviews, and author interviews from books, journals, and authoritative literary web sites.

MEDLINE is primarily a source of index and citation information on journal articles and other resources related to medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and more. Some links to full-text material have been added.

Newspaper Source Plus offers full-text access to more than 800 national and international newspapers including the Orange County Register, San Jose Mercury News, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Full-text television and radio transcripts from CBS News, CNN, National Public Radio, etc. are included.

Opposing Viewpoints in Context provides a wealth of information on contemporary social issues. It includes topic overviews, pro/con viewpoint essays, primary source documents, court-case summaries, periodical articles, statistical tables, images and videos.

Professional Development Collection is a source of articles from many full-text education journals and reports, designed especially for educators, librarians, and researchers.

ProQuest National Newspapers Expanded provides full-text articles from the following newspapers: the Los Angeles Times, Wall St. Journal, Washington Post, New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, Atlantic Journal-Constitution, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Denver Post, and USA Today.

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection offers articles on psychology, psychiatry, and anthropology from many full-text journals.

RCLWeb is online version of the standard reference work, Resources for College Libraries, which lists thousands of print and electronic titles in curriculum-specific subjects that are considered essential for academic libraries, including libraries in vocational and community colleges.

Regional Business News incorporates articles from business journals, newspapers, and newswires from various metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. This database is updated on a daily basis.

Religion and Philosophy Collection covers topics such as moral philosophy, political philosophy, history of philosophy, and world religions in articles from many full-text journals.

Science Full Text Select offers complete articles from ore than 400 journals on a broad range of science and science-related subjects, including climate change, astronomy, earth science, oceanography, robotics, biotechnology, and information technology.

Testing & Education Reference Center with Career Module provides many test preparation materials, (related to standard tests such as the GED, TOEFL, GRE, LSAT, plus civil service, nursing and military exams), career assessment/resume building/interviewing tools, and current information on U.S./Canadian colleges and associated financial aid.

Today's Science offers reports on contemporary scientific topics. It covers not only fields such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, but also psychology, the environment, science and society.

Vocational Studies Premier is designed to support vocation research in two-year colleges. It offers full-text articles on a wide-range of fields including computer/data processing, cosmetology, fashion design, graphic arts, health information technology, law enforcement/criminal justice, paralegal studies, veterinary assisting, biotechnology, and electrical technology.
