Alt-HealthWatch focuses on articles from journals and reports on alternative, holistic approaches to health care and wellness.

CINAHL Complete is the most comprehensive version available of the Cumulated Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, the definitive research tool of nursing and health professionals.

Consumer Health Complete presents consumer information on a wide variety of health and wellness-related topics.

Health Source: Consumer Edition offers consumer information on many health topics in the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine, and general health fields.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides over 500 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines with an emphasis on nursing, plus abstracts and indexing for many more journals.

MEDLINE is primarily a source of index and citation information on journal articles and other resources related to medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and more. Some links to full-text material have been added.

Also using the Magazine, Journal, and Newspaper databases should be considered.

Web Sites 

Clinical Trials offers "easy access to information on clinical trials for a wide range of diseases and conditions."

Pub Med accesses over 11 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE, and other related databases, with links to participating online journals.

Ella Rose Madden Collection

This is a special collection of textbooks and other print resources devoted to health and nursing. The collection is housed in the Ella Rose Madden Room adjacent to the North Reading Room on the Main Floor of the Schauerman Library. 

Magazines & Journals in Print

El Camino subscribes to many nursing, health, and nutrition journals and magazines. Current issues are displayed along the east walls of the Reference Room. Back issues can be found at the Periodicals/Reserve Desk in the southwest corner of the Reference Room.
