Gale Literary Databases provides access to the online versions of 3 standard print literary reference works. 1) Contemporary Authors provides biographical and bibliographical information on more than 120,000 U.S. and international authors. 2) Dictionary of Literary Biography features essays about authors, their lives and works, by recognized literary scholars and critics. 3) Contemporary Literary Criticism Select offers critical analysis of key literary works by major and new authors--selecting and enhancing information from the print title, Contemporary Literary Criticism.
Literature Resource Center is a comprehensive course of literature information from books, journals, and authoritative Web sites. It includes literary criticism, biographical profiles (U.S. and international authors), book reviews, and author interviews. (New)
Using the Magazine, Journal, and Newspaper databases should also be considered.
Note regarding print resources: The reference collection has literary criticism on novels, plays, poems and short stories, as well as biographical information about authors past and present. A guide listing these resources is available in the library and here online.
