The Computer Commons is located in the Library Media Technology Center in the east lower level of the Schauerman Library. It is ECC's central computer center serving students in all academic programs. The Computer Commons houses 150 workstations, including Mac 2000 and Windows 2003 platform computers with standard office applications and more. In the Computer Commons, students have full access to a wide range of Mac and Windows computer resources including color and laser printing, scanning, adaptive access tools, and full internet access.

Software includes the most widely used word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation, and graphics programs used by students throughout the College. In addition, on-line text reference, computer-assisted instruction, and other specialized applications are available for academic programs such as business, computer science, fine arts, health sciences, natural sciences, nursing, English, ESL, foreign languages, electronics, and automotive technology.
